Now with real cash prizes, right on your phone
Ask any Filipino what card game they grew up playing and nine times out of ten, the answer is Tongits. From birthday parties in Vigan to lazy Sunday afternoons in the province, Tongits is woven into everyday Filipino life. It's fast, it's strategic, and it's endlessly fun — which is exactly why abcph decided to bring it online properly.
What makes abcph's Tongits different from other online versions? It's the feel. We worked hard to make the digital game feel like the real deal — the same mechanics, the same tension when you're one draw away from declaring, the same satisfaction of a clean Tongits win. No watered-down rules, no confusing interfaces. Just Tongits the way you know it, on a platform you can trust.
Whether you're a seasoned player who's been playing since high school or someone who just wants to try their luck with a ₱50 buy-in, abcph's Tongits tables have a seat for you. The lobby is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week — because Filipinos don't stop playing just because the sun goes down.
For those who need a reminder, and newcomers learning for the first time
Tongits is a three-player card game played with a standard 52-card deck. Each player is dealt 12 cards at the start, with the dealer getting 13. The goal is simple: reduce the total point value of the unmatched cards in your hand to zero — or as close to zero as possible — before your opponents do.
On each turn, you draw a card from the central pile or pick up the last card discarded by the player before you. You then discard one card from your hand. The round ends when a player calls "Tongits" (an instant win with zero unmatched points), or when the pile is exhausted and a "fight" is called. The player with the lowest point total in unmatched cards wins the fight.
Tongits – Declaring a win when all your cards are in valid melds.
Fight / Sagot – Challenging another player to compare unmatched card totals.
Meld – A valid set (three or more same-rank cards) or a run (three or more consecutive same-suit cards).
Burn – Losing a fight by having the highest unmatched total.
Secret – Winning without any melds on the table during the round.
Ace = 1 point | Number cards 2–9 = face value | Ten = 10 | Jack, Queen, King = 10 points each. Unmatched high cards in your hand work against you — discard them early when you can.
| Hand / Result | Description | Payout Multiplier | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tongits | All cards in valid melds — zero unmatched points. Instant win. | 3× | Hard |
| Secret Tongits | Win by Tongits without any melds exposed to the table during the round. | 4× | Very Hard |
| Win by Fight | Pile runs out; player with lowest unmatched total wins the fight. | 1× | Medium |
| Calling the Fight | Triggering a fight and winning it pays a bonus on top of pot. | 1.5× | Medium |
| Burn | Losing a fight — you pay the pot to the winner. | – | – |
* Multipliers shown are indicative. Exact payouts depend on table stakes and tournament format on abcph.
Face cards and tens carry 10 points each. If they're not part of a meld early on, get rid of them before a fight is called. Holding onto them hoping for a run is usually a losing gamble.
If your opponent picks up the Jack of Spades from the discard pile, don't throw another Jack or cards close to it — they might be building a set. Reading discards is half the skill in Tongits.
Many new players wait too long before calling a fight, giving opponents time to improve their hands. If your unmatched total is low and you're confident, call it. Hesitation is costly.
Winning by fight is safe, but the real money is in Tongits wins and Secret Tongits. Train yourself to spot when you're close to a full meld hand and commit to it.

There are a few other platforms offering online Tongits in the Philippines, but abcph stands apart for reasons that go beyond just having tables available. Here's what actually makes the difference for Filipino players:
First, it's the speed. When you win a round on abcph, your pot is credited to your account instantly — no manual processing, no waiting. When you want to withdraw, the money is in your GCash or Maya wallet the same day. That's the kind of service Filipino players deserve and what abcph has been built around from day one.
Second, it's the fairness. abcph uses certified random number generation for all card deals. Every shuffle, every draw is verified — nobody can manipulate the deck. We display our certification clearly so you know the game is clean before you sit down.
Third, it's the community. Playing Tongits online shouldn't feel lonely. abcph's Tongits lobby is always busy, meaning you never have to wait long for a table to fill up. During peak evening hours — from around 8 PM onwards when Manila Bay is lit up and everyone's winding down — tables fill in seconds. Laro na, Kabayan!
